…I Am…

August 19, 2015
“Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.” ― Andrew Boyd, Daily Afflictions: The Agony of Being Connected to Everything in the Universe

I feel how it is to fly, for I am the bird…

I feel how it is to swim free, for I am the dolphin…

I feel how it is to graze peacefully, for I am the gazelle…

I feel how it is to drink from the ground, for I am the tree…

I feel how it is to gain energy from the sun, for I am the garden…

I feel how it is to heal a heart with music, for I am the instruments…

I feel how it is to cry for my slaughtered family, for I am the elephant matriarch …

I feel how it is to kill for money, for I am the impoverished poacher…

I feel how it is to mourn my mother, for I am an orphaned cub…

I feel how it is to laugh in greed, for I am the trophy hunter…

I feel how it is to starve, for I am the child left behind…

I feel how it is to stand strong, for I am the table…

I feel it all, for I am connected to all…

It is time we all understand that which connects us…every single thing, living or not, emits an energy…

We either accept and embrace it and do all in our power to flow peacefully with it…

Or we sink, confined in the mire we find ourselves in…

I choose to encompass and feel it…

The weight of the world, the horror of the world, the beauty of the world…

I will stretch out my fingers and let my own energy unite with all that vibrates…

Thank you. We are all so inter-connected in this world, be it good or bad. Life is so good, yet many are so sad. Why can’t we just feel the good?

Very cool post!!! But that photo…did you take that photo? How did you get that effect? Is that like a city in the background? Or what?

Thank you! I loved that picture …No, I did not take it, the photo credit is at the bottom of my post. If you click on it it will link to the photographers Flickr page. Once I get back out in the field for my work I hope to use more of my own…which will look nothing like that one! Ha!
