More Pressing Things…

June 10, 2015

She wants to write, to sit down and let the feelings and words flow, but there are more pressing things…  She needs to put pen to paper, let the ink spill out; soaking the page with pensive thoughtfulness, but there are more pressing things…  She wishes to let her inspirations ooze out of her mind like syrup onto a plate, but there are more pressing things… Her brain is full, like a mailbox left unattended for a week; cluttered.  Oh, to just sit down for the day and let it all come out in poetic prose, but there are more pressing things…

Like walking a dog named Bob down a quiet street, allowing the chatter of the nonexistent bluejay slowly quiet down to silence; playing with a little girl, ready to jump in the pool, build sand castles; bake cookies…yes, these are more pressing things.   Taking a nap after lunch in a dark room with her daughter, who is so close to not napping any more…yes, these are more pressing things.   Running in the sand chasing a little blonde trying to catch the sun before it goes down…yes, these are more pressing things.  Taking a day trip to see sea birds fly, nature in action; togetherness…yes, these are more pressing things.  Living in the moment during a fleeting week at home with her family…yes, you get the picture…

Thank you Mr. Badfish, it is work in progress. Appreciate you taking the time to visit again. I tried to write stories in first person, but I cannot do it with the eloquence and vividness that you do. I enjoy reading of your life and travels and adventures!
