…Sometimes It Takes A Bully…

January 27, 2017

A graceful taunt is worth a thousand insults.Louis Nizer

Unite, come together, bipartisan, compromise…we have heard these words for a very long time, but sometimes it takes a bully.

I had a bully growing up, she was awful. She finally made me so mad once I beat her up, and someone actually did help me once they saw me stand up to her, she never crossed me again…sometimes it just takes a bully.

This past week I have watched history unfold in a way I never thought I would see. I thought those days of oppression and censorship would be something I would only read about, not actually experience. Yes, we have ourselves a bully…and I will not say his name to give him more power. But, public pressure does work and can empower even those of us who think we are too quiet. That small voice can be the call someone else needs to hear, to give courage to fight for what is good, to save the lives of those at risk…to kill the snake.

My spirits grew by leaps and bounds when the federal agencies he tried to shut up went rogue, in the most graceful and elegant way. If there was ever a time to come together during the threat of censorship and tyranny…it is now. Write your blogs, express your opinion, march, don’t march, but stand up… Yes… sometimes it just takes a bully.

Graceful

Hey thanks so much! Don’t quite know how to fight, but I plan to! I loved your metal work, I did not know it was silverware until I read it!
