I love bird feeders…and all the family that appears to partake. I have a friend in MN who puts a couple out each summer, and we love to see all the variety that arrives. Here, in the desert…it’s only hawks soaring above. I have no place to hang a feeder…if there were more varieties, which I assume there are. BTW…what are those birds in your photos?

They are Java sparrows, and I had to stop feeding them because they come in hoards and leave a mess! Could not keep up in bird seed, thinking of getting a bird bath! We have a small variety of common introduced birds that frequent, but the rare native birds here are forest birds…would love to see them in my yard, but doubt it! I miss Hawks, had a pair of red tailed Hawks I would watch where I grew up, don’t have them here! I see an occasional owl though..anyway, I love birds! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Friendly bunch. Our diners squabble like mad on the same sort of feeder.

Thanks for reading and commenting! Oh gosh these guys could really go at it and empty a feeder in no time…caught them early into it! Ha!

Nice capture. Was this photo taken from a tree in your yard?
