    so is it in Hawaii…or where. the grass doesn’t quite look like Hawaii?? Love that red stuff on its face. yeah, not common!

      Yes it here at the Kawai’ele bird sanctuary down the road here. I’m not sure about the grass, i know they have gone to big efforts to plant native plants at the sanctuary. The bird itself evolved here in Hawaii making it endemic to Hawaii. They are not naturally found anywhere else.
